Join us to play a board game called Bartertown: a game of social resilience. This game tests how cities and people can survive, and even thrive in the face of climate change. Bartertown imagines a world without money to test how social networks can be reshaped by an economy of favors and resource-sharing.

The game was created in 2017 by the Urban Works Agency at the California College of the Arts for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission’s Adapting to Rising Tides program.

We’re also excited to welcome fellows from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI)–a program within the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs East-West Center. Fellows learn about the environment through experiential methods and build leadership skills through active learning.
